Yeovil recruit Loach on loan

Yeovil have secured the signing of Scott Loach on a one-month emergency loan deal from Rotherham.

The 26-year-old arrives at the Huish Park after injuries to Chris Weale and Artur Krysiak had left the Glovers without a recognised first-team goalkeeper. Gareth Stewart, the club's goalkeeping coach, stepped off the bench in Saturday's draw with Scunthorpe for a first appearance in 18 months and saved a penalty, but the club have decided to strengthen their resources. Loach will go straight into the squad for Tuesday night's game with Walsall. It is his third loan spell away from the Millers this season, having played just twice for the Championship club this season. Millers boss Steve Evans said: "Scott played recently for Peterborough United down at Yeovil and apparently he was outstanding. "I think Yeovil have an injury to their goalkeeper so Loachy's name was noted so we had the option to send him out. "It gives him the opportunity to play some first-team football. "The big man really enjoyed his period at Peterborough United where he did very well so we want him to go to Yeovil and get some more game time."
