QPR's Sandro will not be suspended from first-team action after picking up a red card in Monday's U21 match.

The midfielder was dismissed after reacting angrily to a late challenge by Bristol City's Jake Andrews in a match QPR won 3-1.

Only a superior goal difference is keeping the Hoops out of the relegation spots and it will be a big relief to have their Brazilian, who has struggled with injury recently, available for Premier League action.

The club tweeted on Wednesday afternoon that the Football Association had confirmed Sandro would not be banned for any first-team fixtures.

Sandro only returned to full training two weeks ago after recovering from an injury to his right knee suffered at Newcastle in November.

He moved to Loftus Road from Tottenham on a three-year deal in September.
