Sky Bet Championship: Millwall hopeful winger Paris Cowan-Hall can soon recover from injury

Millwall are hopeful injured new signing Paris Cowan-Hall will play again this season after deciding the winger will not undergo surgery.

Cowan-Hall, who joined the Lions from Wycombe in January, suffered a hairline fracture to his tibia and damaged a knee ligament on his debut against Reading.

"Paris is making encouraging progress," physio Bobby Bacic told the club website.

"He had a review (on Wednesday) and the plan from here is similar to what we did with Chris Taylor a few years ago, when we held off immediate surgery and gave the ligament a chance to naturally heal to the fracture site.

"If we operate now Paris would miss the whole season whereas he has a good chance of returning to action before the end of the campaign if natural healing occurs.

"He therefore needs to remain in a brace for a few more weeks to protect the delicate healing site after which he will be reviewed again."
