One in, one out at Tranmere

Tranmere have received international clearance for Iain Hume, while fellow striker Eliot Richards has left the club.

Hume rejoined Rovers on Thursday following his spell in the Indian Super League with Kerela Blasters but he was not allowed to play at the weekend. In the 32-year-old's absence, Micky Adams' men recorded a 2-1 victory at Exeter which moved them up to 17th in League Two, two points clear of the relegation zone. And the winning side will be boosted further by Hume's presence on Saturday when they welcome fellow strugglers Carlisle to Prenton Park. The former Leicester striker Hume made 176 appearances and scored 37 goals in his first spell with Rovers, which lasted from 1999 to 2005. Meanwhile, Richards has been released from his contract by mutual consent after scoring one goal in 16 appearances for the club. Manager Adams told the club's official website: "We thank Eliot for his services to the club and wish him well for the future."
