Darren Fletcher looks set to play his final game for Manchester United on Monday, according to Sky sources.

Fletcher looks set to leave the Old Trafford club with West Brom and West Ham chasing his signature.

The 30-year-old is likely to start for Manchester United’s U21s as they take on Liverpool U21s at the Leigh Sports Village.

After he failed to make the bench against Cambridge United in the FA Cup last Friday, James Cooper told Sky Sports News HQ the midfielder wants to leave Manchester United.

"It could be that Darren Fletcher might have played his last game for the first team of Manchester United, but could make his last appearance in a red shirt tonight," said Cooper.

"I’m led to believe that he wants to play first team football. That’s why he wants to leave Manchester United and he wants to carry on playing at the highest level in the Premier League.

"He didn’t make it on the bench against Cambridge on Friday night, but he will play for Manchester United’s U21’s against Liverpool’s U21’s and that could be his last ever appearance in a red Manchester United shirt."

He made 342 appearances for United’s first-team, but has failed to establish himself as a club regular since Louis van Gaal took over at Old Trafford.

Fletcher has only made one first-team appearance in United colours so far this year, in the 2-0 FA Cup win at Yeovil earlier this month.
