Porter and Collins set to leave

Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough expects Chris Porter and Neill Collins to leave the League One club this January.

Porter, who has not featured in the league since November 1, and Collins, who has not played since October, are both the subject of interest from other clubs as their time at Bramall Lane draws to a close. Clough said of Porter: "We've had a few enquiries for Chris Porter. It's going to be up to Chris where he wants to go. "We have had a couple from north of the border so it's going to be up to him where he spends the second half of the season and maybe beyond. It will be a permanent with Chris. "He did very well for us last season, I just think we have moved on. We have got enough in that area." Collins, who has made 180 appearances for the Blades since joining four years ago, has stated his desire to fight for his place, but Clough insists there is little hope for him. "Neill has got a slight calf strain at the moment," he added. "We have had one club ask about a loan so we will progress that as he gets fitter. "Neill knows the situation. Terry Kennedy is getting in, Harrison McGahey is getting in, Chris Basham is playing there, we've brought Paddy McCarthy in, it doesn't take a lot of working out."
