Doncaster have extended Sam Johnstone's loan spell from Manchester United until the end of the month.

The England Under-21 goalkeeper will now remain at the Keepmoat Stadium until January 28, meaning he is available for Rovers' next five matches. Johnstone has made 13 appearances for the Sky Bet League One club during his current spell, conceding just 10 goals. He has kept four clean sheets in his last seven games. The 21-year-old was also on loan at Doncaster for four months last season, making 18 appearances. Johnstone follows Enda Stevens and Reece Wabara in extending his stay with Paul Dickov's side.
