Reid staying with Plymouth

Bristol City midfielder Bobby Reid has been given the green light to stay at Plymouth for the rest of the season.

The 22-year-old has made 13 appearances for the Pilgrims in the last three months and become a crucial part of John Sheridan's set-up at Home Park. And Robins boss Steve Cotterill sees regular first-team football as perfect for Reid's development. "I don't see any point in Bobby returning to us if he is not going to play," he told City's official website. "The whole idea of him going out on loan in the first place was to get him games and he has been getting them at Plymouth. "I won't recall him if he's going to sit on the bench and only play in Under-21 games. We have a 24-hour recall option, so I don't see a problem with him staying at Plymouth."
