Brighton defenders Gordon Greer and Bruno have agreed new one-year contract extensions.

Scotland centre-half Greer and Spanish full-back Bruno, both 34, would have been out of contract at the end of the season but will now stay with the Seagulls until June 2016.

Manager Sami Hyypia told the club's official website: "Gordon and Bruno are two important players for us.

"They have great quality and experience, bring a great deal to the squad in terms of their leadership on and off the pitch, and each has earned their new contract with the club.

"Gordon has proved to be a great captain for this club and he has demonstrated with his performances both for the Albion and at international level that he is a great professional.

"He works hard and sets standards every day, and is a key player for us. I am delighted we have extended his contract.

"Likewise with Bruno. He is a great influence upon the rest of the squad, as well as a very good defender and footballer.

"He has great quality on the ball and has shown he is capable of producing that when playing in several different positions."
