Northampton are determined to keep highly-rated striker Ivan Toney after they turned down a bid from an unnamed Championship club.
The 18-year-old has scored nine goals in 18 starts this season for Chris Wilder's men and a second-tier outfit lodged a six-figure bid. Toney, who is under contract at Sixfields until June 2017, is expected to be in the Cobblers' squad for Saturday's League Two clash with Stevenage.
