Tranmere have signed Cameroonian striker Guy Madjo on a short-term contract, subject to international clearance.

Madjo, 30, who has been training with Rovers for the last month and played for the reserves last week, has put pen to paper on an initial two-month deal. "Guy is a hardworking, enthusiastic striker who will add competition for places," Tranmere boss Micky Adams told the club's official website. Madjo recently returned from Thailand and has previously worked with Adams at Port Vale, for whom he scored four goals in six appearances. He started out in with Bristol City in 2005 and his former clubs include Crawley, Shrewsbury, Stevenage, Aldershot and Plymouth Argyle.
