Chiriches speaks out on lack of Tottenham chances

Tottenham defender Vlad Chiriches admits he is unhappy at White Hart Lane due to a lack of first-team action amid reported interest in his services from Inter Milan.

The Romanian international arrived at the club from Steaua Bucharest last year in a transfer worth £7m but has been linked with a move to Italy since the summer after failing to command a regular first-team place.

This season the 6ft centre back has been restricted to just two appearances for Spurs in the Premier League, a situation which he finds difficult to accept.

He told Sky Sports News HQ: “I don’t know anything about the links but right now I can’t say that I am very happy at the club because I am not in the team.

“It’s hard for me but I think I can improve my game and I can play.”
