Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has reaffirmed his club's interest in signing Marco Reus from Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund in the summer.

Reus can leave the Westphalians for a set fee, reported by Bayern to be 25million euro, and Rummenigge has already stated his club's interest.

Ahead of the weekend's league clash between the two sides, he has touched on the subject once again, while insisting he does not want to upset his rivals.

A young, Germany international with such quality is probably interesting for us, but I don't want to cause any ill-feeling with Dortmund.

"We know what quality he has and we also know what clause he has," Rummenigge said to Sport1.

"A young, Germany international with such quality is probably interesting for us, but I don't want to cause any ill-feeling with Dortmund."

It may already be too late for that with Rummenigge's previous comments on Reus and his get-out clause straining already tense relations between the two clubs.

There is no sign of an improvement either with Rummenigge revealing that Dortmund's management do not want to sit around a table with the Bavarians this weekend.

"Borussia Dortmund have informed us that they don't see any point in eating together with Bayern Munich," he added.

"Of course our relationship with Dortmund is not good."

Bayern first upset Dortmund by activating a similar clause in Mario Gotze's contract and signing him for 35million euro in 2013.

A year later, they signed Robert Lewandowski on a free transfer after the Pole decided not to extend his expiring deal with Dortmund.

Therefore should Reus follow suit next summer, he would become the third top Dortmund star to move between the two Bundesliga rivals in as many years.
