Sky Sports understands several Football League clubs are tracking Aldershot Town and England C international Jordan Roberts.

The 20-year-old former Arsenal and Peterborough winger has continued his great form from last season with some stunning displays this term.

Roberts has earned himself a reputation as a set-piece specialist and his progress has not gone unnoticed among clubs higher up the football pyramid.

Former Aldershot manager Dean Holdsworth gave Roberts his Football League debut aged 18, as a substitute in the Shots' 4-1 home win against Barnet in February 2012. The left-footed winger is renowned for his exceptional awareness and technical ability which has alerted a host of clubs to his talent.

His consistent performances saw him rewarded with his first England C call-up earlier this month.

Aldershot began last season with a 10-point deduction for going in to administration. Roberts finished the season as one of the club's top scorers. He also contributed with several assists for Brett Williams, who ended the campaign as the third top goal-scorer in the Conference last season.

Roberts' last goal came in Aldershot's last home match in a 2-2 draw against Bristol Rovers when he curled an exquisite 25 yard free-kick into the top corner to rescue a point for the Shots.

Roberts current deal expires in May 2015 and it is thought a number of clubs are monitoring the situation.
