Sky Sports understands Birmingham City are eyeing a move to bring Bolton forward Rob Hall back to St Andrew's.
Hall enjoyed a successful loan spell at Birmingham between November 2012 until March 2013 before he joined Bolton, initially on loan, and then on a permanent basis.
Former West Ham youngster Hall has not featured in Bolton's opening two Championship games this season and the recent loan arrival of Joe Mason has pushed him further down the pecking order.
Birmingham boss Lee Clark is a big fan of the versatile forward and he is exploring the possibility of bringing him back to the club this summer.
Clark is in the market for attacking reinforcements and he sees Hall as a key addition to his plans for this season.
