Leyton Orient's Jay Simpson is excited to be part of Russell Slade's project at the club.

The O's new forward signed for the League One side to make his return to English football, after a spell in Thailand with Buriram United. The Arsenal academy prospect told the club's website his reasons for signing up at the Matchroom Stadium: "I'm very happy to be at Leyton Orient Football Club. It's very exciting times with the new takeover and the club are really trying to push on for promotion next season. "I want to play as much as I can, score as much as I can and make a big contribution in helping the club become successful. "I have ambitions and I want to be playing in the Championship."Simpson has made over 60 appearances in two loan spells with Millwall, with the first coming in Sky Bet League One. Simpson feels the experience, where he scored six goals, will help him and the club hit the ground running when they start the new campaign. The 25-year-old added: "It's a while since I last played in this league but I really enjoyed it. It was my first taste of first-team football and I have fond memories of this division and I'll look forward to the challenge."
