Forte agrees Oldham switch

Oldham have announced the signing of forward Jonathan Forte on a one-year deal following a successful trial.

The 28-year-old joins on a free transfer and he is manager Lee Johnson's eighth summer signing. He was released by Southampton at the end of last season and the striker has over 260 professional appearances under his belt, scoring 50 career goals. Forte came through the ranks at Sheffield United, going onto play for Doncaster, Rotherham, Notts County, Scunthorpe, Preston, Crawley and the Saints.
