Eintracht Frankfurt have completed the signing of striker Nelson Valdez, the club have announced.

The 30-year-old has penned a two-year deal after spending last season with Al-Jazira in the United Arab Emirates while also going out on loan at Olympiacos.

The Paraguayan has also played for Borussia Dortmund, Hercules, Rubin Kazan and Valencia, and will be reunited with head coach Thomas Schaaf who he played under at Werder Bremen, winning a league and cup double in 2004.

Sporting director Bruno Hubner told the club's official website: "With Nelson Valdez, we have a player for Eintracht Frankfurt who can win and who brings a lot of experience.

"He has worked with Thomas Schaaf already very successfully. We look forward to working together."

Valdez has also played 67 times for his country, scoring 12 goals.
