Walsall have re-signed former academy goalkeeper Liam Roberts on a one-year contract.
The 19-year-old is a product of the Saddlers youth academy and was released back in May. Manager Dean Smith admitted letting Roberts leave the club two months ago was a "very tough decision". "The lad has the potential and hopefully he can overcome the things that halted his progress last year and kick-start himself with us," Smith told the club's official website. Roberts added: "This is a great club with great people and I feel ready to hit the ground running."
