Robinson mulls McEveley move

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson says a decision has yet to be made on the future of trialist Jay McEveley.

The 29-year-old defender has played in all three of the Dons' pre-season friendlies and the manager has praised his versatility. But Robinson revealed he is unable to discuss a possible move at the present time. Speaking to the club's official website, Robinson said: "He's someone who can play left-back and left centre-half and we are looking to add strength in that area. "He knows that Lewie (Dean Lewington) has been an ever present at left-back for this football club for many years. We've had a good chat and he knows where we're at and I know where he's at. "We can't do anything just yet due to where we are with the financial fair play ruling, so it's a case of seeing how things go. He's a great lad and a very talented player. It's not out of the question." McEveley is on trial at the Dons following his release from Swindon, where he spent the last two years.
