Kenny Jackett says Wolverhampton Wanderers have no intention of selling key men and has denied holding an interest in Swindon Town’s Louis Thompson.
The likes of Danny Batth and Bakary Sako continue to generate transfer speculation, with the pair of interest to sides in the Premier League and Sky Bet Championship.
Wolves, though, will be doing all they can to keep prized assets at Molineux, with the club under no pressure to generate funds.
Jackett said in the Express and Star when pressed on whether sales will be sanctioned: “That wouldn’t be something we’d be entertaining.
“We’re looking at building a club and improving and signing a player when it’s right.

While looking to add rather than offload, Jackett has made it clear that Wolves will not be taking any financial risks when it comes to recruitment.
He said: “Wolves as a club has the potential to be a front-runner in the Championship. We don’t necessarily need to spend £11million to do it.
“Leicester had repeated investment but the season they went up they didn’t spend that much. They built the squad up and probably then needed a year to show some faith in the players.
“There are different ways to do it and I think we should do it our way.”
It has been suggested that Swindon’s teenage midfielder Thompson is among those Jackett is looking to bring in, but he has been quick to rubbish the rumours.
He added: “We haven’t made enquiries or bid for him.
“Like all the players in League One, we’re aware of him and he had good games against us, especially the first one where he was excellent.
“But, no, we’re not close to a deal or have made an enquiry at all.
“If you ask me, ‘Do I like the player?’ Yes I do, I know a lot about him and he’s a young player that we generally talk about as having a bright future.
“Have we enquired or made a bid? No.”
