Fleetwood have announced the signing of Josh Morris from Blackburn on a half-season loan deal.

Winger Morris returns to Highbury Stadium having spent the latter half of the 2013/14 campaign on loan at the club, helping them to promotion from League Two. Cod Army manager Graham Alexander told the club's official website: "Josh made a great impression on everybody last season. "He is very popular with all the players, he is a good footballer, a fit lad and he is motivated. He did a fantastic job when he came in last season." After spending the first half of last season with parent club Blackburn and then Carlisle, Morris joined Fleetwood, playing 17 times for the Lancashire club as they missed out on automatic promotion before storming to play-off success. Alexander added: "We had a conversation at the end of the season and he signed a new contract at Blackburn Rovers, but we kept in contact over the summer. I am pleased we have been able to bring him back in on loan." Morris' loan deal will see him stay with Fleetwood until January 3 and he is now Alexander's fourth summer signing having previously recruited Danny Andrew, Keith Southern and Jamie Proctor.
