Northampton have confirmed the signing of defender Evan Horwood on a two-year contract.
The 28-year-old defender was a free agent after leaving Tranmere and rejoins Town following a successful loan spell at the end of last season. Northampton manager Chris Wilder said: "Evan did really well for us in the last six weeks of last season and we are pleased to have secured his signing. "He did well as part of a solid defensive unit and we also saw the threat he can pose going forward. "He enjoyed his time here and I think it is a good move all round. He is another important part of the squad who we are pleased to have signed."
