Phillips relishing boss reunion

AFC Wimbledon's latest signing Mark Phillips is looking forward to linking up with former team-mate Neal Ardley at Kingsmeadow.

Phillips, an experienced defender with over 200 professional appearances, claims joining the Dons was an easy decision after becoming their fifth new recruit. Phillips came through the set up at Millwall and played alongside Ardley at the New Den. He told the club's official website: "Neal was a quality player as everyone knows and he was a brilliant older pro to have around the place. He is a forward-thinking manager and I'm looking forward to playing for him. "There were two or three other clubs that were very interested in taking me, but Wimbledon was my first choice. I've played against Wimbledon a few times in the last few years and it's a great club. The squad here is looking good for next season and I'm positive about how we will do. "I will give 100 per cent for every minute that I'm on the pitch. I'd like to think that I can play a bit, but I'm an organiser and communicator and hopefully I can also chip in with a few goals."
