Freddy Eastwood heads a list of six players that have not been offered new deals by Southend.
Experienced defender Mark Phillips and midfielders Marc Laird and Bedsente Gomis have also left Roots Hall. Youngsters Ryan Auger and Luke Chambers are now free agents but have been invited back for pre-season by manager Phil Brown. On Phillips and Laird, Brown told Southend's official website: "They have both been excellent servants to this football club, and I can't thank them enough for their efforts during my time at Roots Hall. "Mark is an experienced defender at this level, but I felt it was now the right time for him to move on, while Marc was a bit unlucky with his injury this season."
