Teenage goalkeeper Charlie Burns has signed his professional contract with MK Dons.

Burns, who made his senior debut on the final day of the Sky Bet League One campaign against Leyton Orient, has put pen to paper on a one-year deal with the option for a further year. The agreement runs until at least June 2015. The 18-year-old told the club's official website: "I'm over moon to have signed professionally. Everything just seems to have come together for me in the last couple of the weeks. "It was very exciting getting the chance to be involved in the first-team this season and working alongside full-time professionals. It was a valuable experience and it gave me a lot of confidence. "I'm in a good position because I can learn off two good goalkeepers who have plenty of experience and Healdy (Dons goalkeeper coach Paul Heald), who I'm very thankful to. "I just can't wait for the season to start now. I wish last weekend's game was the first of the season. I'm itching to get going again."
