Eintracht Frankfurt defender Sebastian Jung is aware of interest from Wolfsburg, but he has insisted there is ‘no need’ to talk about a transfer.
Jung has a further season to run on his contract with Frankfurt and reports suggest he will be able to leave the club this summer for a fee in the region of £2million.
The 23-year-old played in Frankfurt’s 2-1 defeat at Wolfsburg last weekend and he has been a regular in the team this season.
Wolfsburg sit fifth in the Bundesliga table, six places and 15 points ahead of Frankfurt, and Jung acknowledged that he has been a target for his current team’s rivals.
“It’s not new to me that [Wolfsburg general manager] Klaus Allofs is keen,” Jung told kicker-Sportmagazin. “It’s something that has been a fact for years and he has also told me that.
“VfL Wolfsburg has a great team with a lot of quality and the stadium is also great.
“Still, I am playing for Eintracht Frankfurt. I have a contract with Eintracht Frankfurt and that’s it. We do not need to talk about a transfer.”
