Sky Blue thinking for Prutton

Coventry have signed midfielder David Prutton on loan from Sheffield Wednesday until the end of the season.

The 32-year-old, who can count Nottingham Forest, Southampton and Leeds among his former clubs, links up with the Sky Blues having made just 10 appearances for the Owls this term. Coventry boss Steven Pressley told the club's official website: "With the loan departures of Adam Barton and Billy Daniels and John Fleck's two-game suspension, it was vitally important that we brought in a player with established quality, leadership skills and experience, and David certainly fits that mould. "He has played at the highest domestic level but also has a detailed knowledge of this division and what it demands and we're delighted to have him on board to help us finish the season on a high note." Prutton is in line to make his City debut when they take on Crewe on Saturday.
