Stevenage midfielder Dean Parrett will miss the rest of the season with cruciate ligament damage.

The 22-year-old former Tottenham trainee is facing six months on the sidelines after suffering the injury against MK Dons on Saturday. Stevenage physio Paul Dando, writing in his programme notes for this Saturday's game against Port Vale, said: "Although his symptoms settled over Sunday, he was sent for an MRI on Monday afternoon and this confirmed a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament. "Obviously, this spells the end of his season and is disappointing news for both Deano and the squad. "He is due to see the consultant on Thursday and we are hoping that he can be operated on as soon as possible. "With the surgical expertise nowadays, this type of injury can be turned around inside six months and with Deano's age and work ethic, this is a challenge which he is relishing."
