Burton Albion have signed Callum McFadzean on loan from League One outfit Sheffield United.

The 20-year-old winger joins Gary Rowett's promotion-chasing Brewers on an initial one-month loan deal. Rowett told the club's official website: "We are delighted to have got Callum on board. He is a player that we have watched a lot and we are really grateful to Nigel (Clough) at Sheffield United for allowing him to join us. "He can play anywhere down the left-hand side, has good quality and his energy and versatility will be a great addition to the squad for this important month." McFadzean, who made his Blades debut against Burton in last season's Capital One Cup, will go straight into the squad for Albion's clash with Scunthorpe. He has featured nine times for the Blades this season and appeared on five occasions during a loan spell at Burton's promotion rivals Chesterfield before Christmas.
