Crewe's battle for survival has suffered a blow with the news that Harry Davis will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.
The 22-year-old defender, son of manager Steve Davis, dislocated part of his knee in a training session on Thursday. Scans have shown severe swelling and a timescale on Davis' comeback has yet to be determined. Davis, who has made 36 appearances this term, netted a stoppage-time equaliser - his fourth goal of the season - to secure a point for the Alex in last weekend's 1-1 draw against Oldham.
