Torquay's Joss Labadie has decided to withdraw his appeal against a 10-game ban and £2,000 fine for allegedly biting a player.

The 23-year-old was charged by the Football Association with misconduct relating to the incident involving Chesterfield's Ollie Banks last month and on Monday Labadie decided to appeal the decision only to change his mind on Tuesday. "Torquay United can confirm that Joss Labadie has decided to withdraw his appeal and accept the FA charge for misconduct," a club statement said. "Joss will now serve his 10-match ban with immediate effect." That decision means the former Notts County man will not be available for Tuesday night's clash with Bury and then the Gulls' final nine games of the campaign as they battle to stay in League Two.
