AFC Wimbledon midfielder Peter Sweeney is closing in on a return to action from a long-term foot injury.
The 29-year-old has been sidelined since December 29 after suffering a fractured metatarsal against Plymouth. But Sweeney has been back in training for the last couple of weeks and will play for the reserves against Cray Wanderers in the London Senior Cup on Wednesday night. If he comes through that match unscathed, Sweeney could be in contention for Saturday's visit of York.
