Chesterfield goalkeeper Aaron Chapman has agreed a new two-year contract that will see him stay at the club until June 2016.
The former Belper Town stopper joined the Spireites in the summer of 2013. Chapman told Chesterfield's official website: "It's just brilliant to get that bit of security. Now I've just got to push on and try and get into the first team. It's a great club. There's only one way it's going and that's up, I'm just happy to be a part of it." Manager Paul Cook is happy that Chapman has decided to put pen to paper and said: "I'm delighted for Aaron to sign. He's improving every day but unfortunately, because he's got no football CV, we've found it very difficult to get him a loan club. "We're really pleased with him. Giving lads longer contracts is something that we need to look into at the club. Chapman has now joined Conference Premier side Chester on loan until 7 March. Cook added: "Going to Chester and getting some games and playing competitive football will do him the world of good. "I think he'll be a great acquisition for Chester. Not only is he a good goalkeeper, he's a great lad. He wants to learn and he wants to get better." Chapman will be joined at Chester by Matt Brown, while Jacob Hazel has linked up with Bradford Park Avenue.
