Ridehalgh injury blow for Moore

Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore fears he will be without defender Liam Ridehalgh for up to three games.

The left-back was taken off at half-time during the defeat to Peterborough at the weekend after suffering a groin injury. Moore does not yet know the full extent of the damage but believes the 22-year-old will be sidelined for two weeks. That would see him miss Saturday's home clash with Crewe, Rotherham's visit to Prenton Park on Tuesday and the trip to MK Dons the following weekend. Moore told the club's official website: "Liam has a groin strain and it's bruised already. We've just got to wait and see. "(Physio) Gregg (Blundell) will know more later in the week, but at the present time we're probably looking at a fortnight." But there is better news for Moore on the injury front, with Danny Holmes and Ian Goodison closing in on returns. Defender Holmes has been struggling with groin and back problems while Goodison has had a thigh injury. Moore added: "Danny has had a stiff back. I think he'll be okay. Gregg is talking about him training on Thursday and if he does that okay he'll be in line for selection on Saturday. "Goody has trained twice last week with us and he'll probably train on Thursday. If he comes through that okay he won't be a million miles away from either being on the bench or being involved."
