Samir Nasri is hoping to be included in France's squad for their friendly with Belgium next week.
Nasri missed the chance to link up with France on their tour of Brazil in June because of a knee injury.
Now fully fit, Nasri is looking to get his international career back on track after his suspension following Euro 2012.
"I feel fine. I felt some pain on my left knee, but now my body is okay. And mentally I am fine," he told L'Equipe.
"We are on the same wavelength with the new coach. It is pleasant to have a coach you can talk with. I have been told he relies on me to achieve a great season.
"Having to withdraw from the French team two months ago was terribly frustrating.
"The team is building and it is better to not miss such an opportunity, I have had a good talk with Didier Deschamps but I didn't have any other news since, so I hope to be called on against Belgium."
