Zak Whitbread is expected to train on Monday despite being carried from the field on a stretcher during Leicester's 2-1 win at Middlesbrough.
Whitbread lasted just 18 minutes of the new Sky Bet Championship campaign following an accidental blow to the head which left the defender with concussion as the Foxes defended a corner.
The 29-year-old is set to take part in non-contact training as Nigel Pearson's squad prepare to face Wycombe in the Capital One Cup first round on Tuesday night.
Following the game at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday, Leicester boss Pearson said: "He's okay now but it was a head injury with concussion.
"I've not had a chance to speak to (club physio) Dave Rennie about the extent of it, so we'll have more of an idea about that on Monday."
