Parma midfielder Daniele Galloppa has suffered anterior cruciate ligament damage for the second time in a year.
The 28-year-old missed four months of the 2012-13 Serie A season after damaging a ligament in his left knee last October and, following his early withdrawal from a midweek friendly victory over Marseille, Parma medical staff have today confirmed a similar injury to his right knee.
A statement published on fcparma.com read: "Parma announce that medical tests have revealed damage to the anterior cruciate ligament of Daniele Galloppa's right knee.
"The player, who was injured during Wednesday night's match against Marseille, will undergo surgery at the hand of Professor Paolo Adravanti."
