Swindon have announced that they have taken former goalkeeper Jamie Stephens back on trial.

The 19-year-old was on the club's books as a youth-team player before attracting the attention of Liverpool and moving to Anfield in April 2010. However, Stephens was released by the Merseyside outfit at the end of last season without a first-team appearance to his name and is now back at the County Ground. Boss Kevin MacDonald told the club's official website: "Jamie is here for a few days and we will have a look at him. "He did very well on Monday, which was his first day back, but we will see what he can do and then go from there. "He has been recommended to us and I know he was at Swindon a few years back. There's not a lot more we can say at the moment but we will see what happens. "At the moment we are trying to get the players we have here as fit as we can while also taking a look at the trialists that have been recommended to the club."
