Sky Sports understands Oxford United have agreed a deal to sign former Crawley Town defender David Hunt.
Hunt is set to join Oxford on a free transfer having cancelled his contract at Crawley by mutual consent.
The 30-year-old initially joined Crawley on loan in January 2011 before making the move permanent that summer and he played a key role in helping them win promotion from the Conference to League One.
The former Leyton Orient, Northampton and Shrewsbury player is thought to have agreed a two-year deal at the Kassam Stadium.
Hunt will become Oxford's second signing of the summer following the arrival of Jonathan Meades as Chris Wilder looks to reshape his squad.
