Crewe boss Steve Davis remains keen to bring Brad Inman and Chuks Aneke back to Gresty Road next season.

The midfield pair, on loan from Newcastle and Arsenal respectively, made 64 appearances between them for the Alex last season and netted winners' medals having started the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final success over Southend at Wembley. Davis stressed his desire to be reunited with the duo at the end of last term and he is still interested in striking a deal when the two players return from their summer breaks. "The situation is ongoing with Brad and Chuks," he told Crewe's official website. "I spoke to them both before they went away and have spoken with their agents as well. I have made my feelings clear about them both; we would like to bring them here. "They were both outstanding for us last season and made big impacts. I'm sure people will have taken notice about how well they did for us last season. "Hopefully the fact that they know the club and enjoyed their time with us last season may give us a little advantage."
