Notts County have been linked with a move for out-of-contract defender Ben Gordon.
The 23-year-old left-back has been without a club since his short-term deal at Yeovil expired in April and he has fallen under Chris Kiwomya's radar.
Kiwomya is charged with building a squad capable of challenging for promotion in League One and could be poised to move for the former Chelsea man, who admits life as an unemployed footballer can be unpleasant.
"It can definitely be tough with all your certainty but it's part of the territory and it happens to every player at some point in their career," he said.
"There has been quite a lot of interest in me and I'm looking at a few offers, but the most important thing for me is putting another 80 to 100 games on my CV.
"This season didn't really get started for me after going to Birmingham on loan and getting injured, the manager brought in Paul Robinson and by the time I got fit I hardly featured.
"It's also important that I get a good pre-season under my belt this year as I missed most of it last year through injury."
