Frear keen on new contract

Exeter winger Elliott Frear hopes to agree a new deal with the Grecians this week having returned from a successful loan spell.

The 22-year-old played 30 times for Sailsbury this season as he helped them clinch promotion to the Blue Square Premier. And the City youth product, who made four appearances for the first team, will meet director of football Steve Perryman this week to chat about his future with the League Two side. "I'm not sure what the position is, as a lot of players have been leaving," he told the Express & Echo. "I have spoken to Steve briefly and I have got a meeting with him in the week, so we will have to see how that goes. "I love the club and everyone around the club and if I could stay then it would be brilliant, but if not then I will just move on and play my football somewhere else. "I want to stay at Exeter and I want to be an Exeter player next season, but finances might not be able to make that happen. "I've just got to speak to Steve and Tis (manager Paul Tisdale) and see what their plans for me are."
