Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner has again turned to West Brom to bring defender James Hurst back to the club for a second loan spell.
Right-back Hurst, who spent close to two months on loan at the Greenhous Meadow last term, returns on a deal until the end of the season. His arrival comes after fellow Baggies right-back Cameron Gayle, already on loan with the Shrews, was last week ruled out around a month with a hamstring injury sustained in the 1-1 draw at Crewe. Turner told the club's official website: "James had a decent spell with us last season. He went off and played in League One for Chesterfield and also played for them at Wembley in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final. "He's a full-back we know well and we think he's got good ability. "We felt we needed some extra cover at the back with the injuries to Cameron Gayle, Rob Edwards and Jermaine Grandison." It will be Hurst's second loan spell of the season having spent one month at Championship side Birmingham.
