Double blow for battered Burton

Burton's injury crisis has worsened after news that Billy Kee and Aaron Webster are doubtful for Saturday's visit of Rotherham.

Striker Kee suffered an ankle injury in training on Tuesday while defender Webster pulled a calf muscle. With top-scorer Calvin Zola, left-back Damien McCrory, centre-half Nathan Stanton and loan signing Alex MacDonald all already on the sidelines, Albion boss Gary Rowett could be down to the bare bones. Loanee Ian Sharps is also unavailable to face his parent club while skipper Zander Diamond will begin a four-match ban. "We had a bit of a nightmare with Billy going down with an ankle injury and Aaron picking up a calf injury," Rowett told the Burton Mail. "It was one of those days - and it's been one of those weeks. We'll have to sit down on Friday, have a count up and see who we've got. "Unless something drastic happens, we'll try to get through Saturday and reassess after the weekend. It's a case of waiting and seeing - there are no immediate plans to get anyone in."
