Easton hits out at Southend

Craig Easton has spoken out about his departure from Southend, as he prepares to face his former employers on Saturday.

The midfielder, 33, is now plying his trade at Torquay, after an unsuccessful spell at Dunfermline followed his exit from Roots Hall. After captaining Paul Sturrock's men during the 2010/11 season, Easton admits he is still disappointed with how his time ended at the Essex club. He told the Echo: "It was a debacle to be honest and I thought what they offered me to stay was embarrassing after what I'd given to the club while I was there. "They gave me a contract which was 25 per cent less than what I was previously on and there was no room for negotiation either. "That's football though and I've moved on since then and I'm looking to do well for Torquay."
