Morris makes Millers loan move

Rotherham manager Steve Evans has expressed his delight at the signing of Josh Morris on an emergency 28-day loan from Blackburn.

The arrival of the left-back, 21, who spent time on loan with Yeovil last year, comes on the same day Blackpool full-back Bob Harris' spell at the New York Stadium ended. Morris, a former England Under-20 international, can also play left wing and through the middle and will go straight into Evans' squad to face Plymouth on Saturday, while he is also available to play in the Millers' FA Cup campaign. "I am delighted we have secured his signature given he had a couple of alternative loan options at a higher level, but he wanted to be here," said the Millers boss. "I have seen him a number of times and he is the type of player we are always looking for. He is young, has a great desire, is hungry to play first-team football and I am delighted to give him that platform. "He has a great left foot, gets forward to support the front players, is quick and like Bob Harris he defends with pride."
