Scunthorpe have signed free agent midfielder Chris Sedgwick on non-contract terms.
The midfielder was without a club following his release from Sheffield Wednesday in the summer and has been on trial at Glanford Park for over a week. The 32-year-old goes straight into the squad for Saturday's away game at Shrewsbury as Alan Knill's side continue their search for a first league win of the campaign.
