Alfaro joins Al Wasl

Lazio striker Emiliano Alfaro has agreed to join UAE club Al Wasl on a one year loan deal. The 24 year-old will leave for Dubai on Friday after both clubs agreed on a year's loan reportedly worth around £400,000, along with an option to make the move permanent for £2.8 million at the end of the season. With Miroslav Klose and Tommaso Rochi the preferred forwards in Lazio coach Vladimir Petkovic's plans, Alfaro was unlikely to see much action this term had he remained at the Stadio Olimpico. Proposed moves to Genoa and Cesena during the summer transfer window failed to materialise but the Uruguay international has decided to try his luck in the Middle East upon advice from his agent. His arrival at Al Wasl completes the club's foreign quota which includes Australia international Lucas Neill, Mariano Donda and Mahmoud Shikabala.
