McInnes ready to let defender leave

Bristol City boss Derek McInnes has revealed James Wilson could be set for a loan move away from Ashton Gate. Wilson has found himself down the pecking order at City under McInnes and the 23-year-old was not even in the squad for the last game at Barnsley. McInnes is willing to let Wilson go out on loan as he is looking to bring in another defender on a tempoary basis. "I sat down and had a meeting with James a couple of weeks ago to let him know where he stood," McInnes told The Bristol Evening Post. "He is a young player and I have told him he still figures in my plans, but he might need to go out on loan to get regular first-team football. "I'm after another centre-half and, if that happens, then James going out on loan will become more of a possibility. "But it will have to be to the right club and at the right time."
